Range & Status

Occurs in Ireland, Wales and some from Cornwall (Bland, 1996).

Regional Distribution

This species has been recorded in Cornwall mainly on the north coast at Chapel Porth, Perranporth, Wheal Coates and Cligga Head, but also on The Lizard at Kynance, Kennack Sands and Downas Cove; confirmation by genitalia examination is required before all of these records can be accepted.

Habitat & Ecology

The larvae feed on Red Fescue Festuca rubra (Heckford, pers. comm.).
