Catillaria aphana - a lichen



Range & Status

Normally found on calcareous substrata. Only one record for Cornwall (2002) from the walls of St. Gennys church in north-east Cornwall where, no doubt, the mortar provides the necessary base input. This species may be threatened by any future re-pointing of the church walls.
