Phymatolithon calcareum - Maerl



Range & Status

A coralline alga which is occasionally found intertidally but mainly subtidally and which is common on southern and western coasts of Britain and Ireland. The type locality for this species is the Falmouth Estuary. This species is on the UK List of Priority Species (2007).
