Range & Status

Diptera: Cecidomyiidae; very local in Britain.

Regional Distribution

Recorded in 1986 and 1987 on The Lizard (SW71).

Habitat & Ecology

Associated species: Common Toadflax Linaria vulgaris , also occurs on Purple Toadflax Linaria purpurea . Gall causes a mass of young leaves thickened at the base of the bud and bunched into a compact head of about 5 mm, containing a white larva or pupa.

Unknown.

Conservation

Site is owned by the National Trust.
