Plectocarpon lichenum - a lichenicolous fungi



Range & Status

Parasymbiotic on the thallus of Lobaria pulmoriaria on which it forms galls which take the form of an apothecium-like structure. Found in western Britain from Cornwall to northwestern Scotland, where most of the records come from.
