Range & Status

Recorded in British waters from the English Channel (Pleijel & Dales, 1991): also found fairly often in low numbers in the southern Irish Sea and outer Bristol Channel (Mackie et al ., 1995; Mackie et al ., 2006) and in the North Sea. In Cornwall recorded only from waters near Tresco and St. Mary' s, Isles of Scilly. A benthic species, found in the sublittoral 15-150m depth (Pleijel & Dales, 1991); a small worm, 16-17mm long, found in shell gravel and sand.
