Range & Status

Attached to rocks in areas with slow or fast water movement, from extreme low water

mark to 150m. A southern species confined to warm, sheltered sites. Mainly found off the south coasts of Cornwall, Devon and Dorset; elsewhere in south-west Ireland and south to Spain and the Mediterranean.
