Gigartina pistillata



Range & Status

A medium-sized alga with cylindrical, cartilaginous fronds, often regularly branched. Found on sand-covered rocks generally at very low water. A south-western species occurring on the coasts of Cornwall, south and north Devon, south Wales and the Channel Islands.
