Paradelphacodes paludosus - A delphacid bug



Range & Status

Widely recorded in England and Wales, but concentrated in the coastal counties of the south east.

Regional Distribution

Only recorded in Cornwall from the Lizard Peninsula, where it was discovered on Crousa Downs in 1981.

Habitat & Ecology

A wetland species, especially in Sphagnum bogs, but occasionally occurring in more

base-rich situations.

Threats

Drainage of wetlands.

Conservation

Crousa Downs are part of the Lizard NNR.
