Range & Status
A southern species with a characteristic fan-shape. Found in exposed pools at the mid to lower intertidal and subtidally from mid-summer to the autumn. The British foci of distribution are Devon, Dorset and the Isle of Wight with one disjunct site on the north Cornish coast, Boscastle, where it was rediscovered in the early 1990s after a long absence.
