Polysiphonia simulans



Range & Status

A small alga (to 10cm) that is rarely recorded on the coasts of southern England where it is epiphytic on various algae such as Chondrus crispus and Laminaria blades. Found in pools on the lower to extreme lower shore at moderately to extreme wave-sheltered sites, with or without exposure to currents.
