Lathrobium rufonitidum - A rove beetle



Range & Status

syn. L. fennicum Renkonen. Only known in Britain from Tresco, Isles of Scilly, in 1967 and 1968, and more recently in East Sussex.

Regional Distribution

Found at Great Pool, Tresco (Mackechnie-Jarvis, 1969).

Habitat & Ecology

Occurs at the margins of ponds.

Threats

Changing land management practices, affecting drainage regimes; possibly changing arrangements for stock watering.

Conservation

Protection of watersides from large scale changes in management.
