Chrysis gracillima - A ruby-tailed wasp



Range & Status

A recent (May, 2007) addition to the Cornish aculeate list when a specimen was recorded near heathland at Prussia Cove on the south coast. Most records are from the south-east of England with the nearest other record in Dorset. Elsewhere it is found in a range of habitats including lowland heath, hedgerows and chalk downland.
