Range & Status

Widely scattered across southern England.

Regional Distribution

Discovered near St. Erth by R.T. Bannister in 1962.

Habitat & Ecology

This species lives around the bases of large clumps of rush and sedge in a variety of

wetland situations, perhaps usually long-established wetlands.

Threats

Drainage of wetlands; abandonment of grazing leading to Willow Salix spp. domination.

Conservation

Precise site not known so formulation of conservation plan not possible.
