Paromola cuvieri - Box crab



Range & Status

A deep-water crab normally found in the Continental Shelf area to the west of the British Isles. A very occasional visitor to the shallower waters around the Cornish, west Irish and western Scottish coastlines, especially in more recent years. Elsewhere in deep water from west Norway through to west Africa. At least eight Cornish records from 1912-2006.
