Carcinonemertes carcinophila



Range & Status

The adult form of the nemertean lives on the egg masses of several species of crab,

mainly Carcinus maenas and less frequently Liocarcinus depurator . It seems to have a scattered British distribution, and is rarely recorded. Recently recorded from Carcinus maenas in the Falmouth Bay area.
