Range & Status

A notable Isopod with widely scattered records across the UK.

Regional Distribution

To date there is only a single Cornish record for this species, from Penzance on 11th

October 1972 by E.J. Pearce.

Habitat & Ecology

Generally found in association with man, particularly old gardens, compost heaps, farm outbuildings and refuse tips.

Threats

Reduction in use of dung piles to manage animal waste.

Conservation

None.
