Range & Status
Known for over a century from Sennen Cove. Elsewhere in the British Isles it is only
known from one other locality, Cowbridge (Glamorganshire), where two specimens were taken in the 19th Century. A southern European species which only just reaches the British Isles.
Regional Distribution
It is found in good numbers regularly at Sennen Cove.
Habitat & Ecology
This species is associated with sparsely vegetated areas of loose sand in coastal sand dunes; possibly feeds on Lady' s Bedstraw Galium verum .
Threats
Excessive public pressure on this very popular beach.
