Range & Status

A small, foliose species which is epilithic on bedrock, epiphytic on small algae or epizoic on sessile invertebrates in the subtidal zone to 15m and deep, shaded, lower shore pools of wave-exposed coasts. Only known from two British localities, north Devon and the Isles of Scilly. It is also known from western Ireland and the Channel Isles. This is a truly rare south-western and western species.
