Range & Status
This is a common large aquatic bivalve in Britain which is not threatened. In Cornwall it has been recorded in large fishing lakes at Retallack (SW96H, SW96I), in College Reservoir (SW73R) and from a broken shell found on the bank of the River Kenwyn (SW84D).
