Andrena alfkenella - A solitary mining bee



Range & Status

A once widespread, but now rare, species found in southern England where it favours dry coastal or downland sites. This species has always been rare in Cornwall with only ever five records, two of which are post-1980 and from the same area: Glebe Cliff near Tintagel.
