Usnea esperantiana - a lichen



Range & Status

Found on twigs and small branches of broadleaved trees in hedgerows, carrs, coastal scrub and orchards. This species has a distinctly south-west distribution in Britain. In a recent survey (Giavarini, 2002) of metalliferous mining site spoil heaps this lichen was recorded at ten sites.
