Range & Status

Lepidoptera: Momphidae; uncommon.

Regional Distribution

VC1: SW83 1957, SW75 1984, SW62 1996; VC2: SX05 1973, 1990.

Habitat & Ecology

Associated species: Broad-leaved Willowherb Epilobium montanum and other Epilobium spp. Rounded or spindle-shaped swelling (6-8 mm.) in main stem, thickest at a node, containing a pale green caterpillar with dark head.
