Planorbarius corneus - Great Ram's Horn



Range & Status

This is a common aquatic species in Britain which is not threatened. Recorded in Cornwall from Carfury (SW43N: in a small quarry pool with introduced aquatic plants), Kennall Vale (SW73N: a granite quarry pond) and from Argal Reservoir (SW73F). The Cornish records may result from disposal of aquarium contents.
