Range & Status
Widespread in England, Wales and Scotland from about 20 post-1980 sites. Status
revised from RDB3.
Regional Distribution
Recorded at Hellescott Bridge, near Launceston in 1996 and Penlee Battery in 1999.
Habitat & Ecology
Broadleaved woodland. The aphidophagous larvae have been found on Sycamore Acer pseudoplatanus leaves. Adults fly from June to September.
Threats
Clearance of broadleaved woodlands and shading out of rides.
Conservation
Penlee Battery is a Cornwall Wildlife Trust Reserve.
