Leptochiton scabridus



Range & Status

A rare chiton, which is found under stones often heavily embedded in sand and in rock crevices on the lower shore and in the sublittoral zone (Jones & Baxter, 1987). Almost restricted to Brittany and south-west Britain, Cornwall, south Devon, Isle of Wight, Ireland and the Channel Isles.
