Andrena labiata



Range & Status

A widespread species in southern England north to Yorkshire and Wales. Very local and mainly confined to sandy soils both on the coast and inland, where the species is well known to be associated with Germander Speedwell Veronica chamaedrys . There are numerous older Cornish records but only two post-1980 records from the Mullion area and from a garden in Falmouth where it was last recorded in 1991.
