Schmitzia hiscockiana



Range & Status

Small, gelatinous, ephemeral plants with strongly compressed little branched fronds. Known only from the subtidal to a depth of about 15m where the plants grow on cobbles in strong current flows in summer. A rare species with a distinctly western distribution.
