Range & Status

Acari: Eriophyoidea; local, rather uncommon.

Regional Distribution

VC2: SX19 Beeny Cliff in 2008, a first record for Cornwall.

Habitat & Ecology

Associated species: Mugwort Artemisia vulgaris . Galls cause pimples 1-2 mm. high

on upper surface of leaf, often red, sometimes stalked, covered with white hairs; small opening below is ringed with hairs.
