Llimonaea sorediata



Range & Status

A newly described species (2007). Found as pinkish patches on basaltic rocks at Com Head and Pentire Head on the north-east Cornish coastline. More recently (2008) found in quantity on the walls of Godolphin House (The National Trust). Its true distribution is not known but it has an Atlantic distribution in Europe. It is also known from Portland (Dorset), Ireland, France (Brittany and Normandy), Spain (Cantabria) and Portugal.
