Range & Status

Described as new to science as recently as 1968, little is known about the mode of life of this rare species. It is now known from south-western and southern Britain, east to Sussex, south-west Wales and north-west Scotland. Elsewhere it occurs southwards to the Atlantic coasts of France and Spain.
