Amphiura chiajei



Range & Status

A small brittlestar with very long arms, which lives in muddy sand in depths of 20m to more than 200m. Recorded off all British coasts but mainly in the north; apparently quite rare in the south, from where many records are in doubt. Only recently recorded from the Isles of Scilly and east Cornwall.
