Autolytus longeferiens



Range & Status

Recorded from south-west Britain and Channel coasts (Hayward & Ryland, 1990) and north Wales. The species has only been recorded in Cornish waters from near the Eddystone in 1915 with a possible second record in Cornish waters from south of Plymouth Breakwater. A benthic species, found in the sublittoral; a small, stout, orange-red worm of 10-20mm length found on rocky substrates and in Laminaria holdfasts.
