Range & Status

An upland species on south-facing limestone pastures in sub-montane regions, but also recorded on calcareous dunes and unimproved grassland elsewhere. Records from Slapton on the south Devon coast (1994) and unimproved grassland at Kiberick Cove (The National Trust) where a large number of specimens were found in 1992. Also a possible record in Tehidy Woods (1976). This species is listed on the UK BAP Priority Species (2007) list.
