Range & Status
Formerly only known from the Plymouth area and Portscatho, Cornwall, where it was
recorded until 1911. Subsequently one found in south-west Yorkshire in 1985 and more recently in east Cornwall.
Regional Distribution
Two at an east Cornwall locality in 1989.
Habitat & Ecology
A ground-living species with larvae feeding in plant roots in the soil. Adults have been
found in Oak Quercus spp. woodland.
