Range & Status

On vertical rock faces and half-buried in sediment overlying horizontal bedrock, often

where there are strong tidal currents and usually found at depths below 10m. A southern species in the British Isles, recently recorded from Lundy, south Devon and the Channel Islands. It occurs in Cornwall but is infrequently encountered, despite widespread suitable habitat.
